1st Session Element Descriptions

Introductions

First things first: building rapport and trust and getting to know each other. 

Reason for a Session

After getting know each other a bit, it is time to dig into what brings you to session.  What is reason you want support and why do you think this type of support might be the answer for your specific challenge. 

Background & Context

Once the reason is shared, it is time to dig in to fill context to the problem.  There are always additional circumstances that are important to understand the challenge fully and to therefore craft the right solution. 

Your Brain Profile

A series of quick little tests can reveal what is referred to as your "Brain Dominance Profile".  This refers to which eye, ear, arm/hand, leg and brain hemisphere takes the lead when under stress. 

Body Map

If there is pain in the body, where in the body is it happening.  A full picture of various, apparently unrelated body pains, will be charted with an eye to seeing if there is any connection.

 

Goals for the Session

Now that there is a body map, brain profile and all background info, it is time to hone in on the right first goal (there are often layers). 

Applied Kinesiology Principles

Muscle testing/checking will be used throughout, including self muscle testing.   In the first session, you will learn how to do this in order to open the access to talking to the body. 

Strategy Selection

Using the goal AND asking the body will fine tune which of the various movements and modalities will be best for you.

Actions and Activities

The meat of the session is when the actual specific movements will be done, either with or without mirroring.   Occasionally, surrogate testing and movements may be done. 

Progress Check

Asking the body with muscle testing will guide whether there are further movements and modalities or whether the session is complete.

Acknowledge and Plan

Noticing the positive change is essential for cementing the change.   Planning for the future can be for the next session and/or what can be done by you to further support the changes made. 

Celebrate

It is a great fun to end with discussion and visualization for how wonderfully your next phase will be thanks to the positive change!   Maybe a little dance!!

This area can be emotionally challenging as it will be vital to get to the real root of the goal and a bit of digging may be necessary. 

Strategy Selection:

What movements and modalities will best serve the achievement of this goal?

Menu Includes: Brain Gym movements, Emotion Code, Affirmations, Flower Essences, Touch for Health and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) 

Actions and Activities

Put into action the movements and modalities selected, with re-evaluation along the way.  Mariah-Jane will gently guide the various modalities. 

Progress Check

How are the choices of intervention working?   There are effective ways to confirm that the choices are indeed making positive change.

Acknowledge and Plan

Acknowledge what positive changes have been made.  Also, plan if there is any follow up steps that will need to be taken to support the changes.

Celebrate

Positive change needs to go beyond acknowledgement to full on celebration!!  Change can be hard...and you just did it!
