Mariah-Jane has 37 years experience as a dance teacher, including 10 years as a studio owner, so she understands both the side of the teacher AND the studio owner.

She is an RAD Registered teacher since 1997, and a mentor and supervisor since 2007. Mariah-Jane is also certified Evans Laban based modern teacher, studying with Bill Evans since 1999 in Laban and Bartenieff, along with ongoing pedagogy and anatomy classes.  

Her complimentary training includes Brain Gym, Rhythmic Movement Training (reflex integration) and Franklin Method. 

She loves creating and working with imagery and linking up great learning, functional anatomy and creativity.  

In April 2024, Mariah-Jane was honoured to receive the RAD Innovation in Dance Teacher Award.
