4 Programme Offerings
Dance
With the right strategies to keep from stress overwhelming the brain-body, students can retain their control, balance, timing and ability to authentically express.
Drama
Freezing or forgetting lines is a major fear of actors. By remaining integrated even when under the spotlight, actors will also be able to authentically connect to both their character and the others on stage.
Music
Timing, rhythm and pitch can all be affected by stress. And breath support for wind/brass instruments requires a relaxed brain-body. When integrated, musicians will be able to listen attentively and stay fully present.
Speaking
A calm and confident presentation is not just the result of preparation. Being grounded and integrated allows the speaker to connect with their material and the audience, sharing it with dynamics and pacing that enhances crediblity.
The Diamond Method for Academic Success
Exams are very important to many students, especially those looking to have scholarships or receive high enough grades for their university of choice.
This is a lot of pressure and for many the stress can be so much as to actually cause them to not do their best. The solution is not more time spent studying. The solution can be something as simple as movement based strategies to keep the brain integrated and able to access the knowledge gained through all the previous study.
A workshop sharing these tools can be a game changer for keen students who stress out over exams, such as provincials.
Let's Create the Right Programme for Your Student Body
An in school residency can encompass several options:
Examples are:
A few workshops taking place during regular class time with the students divided into manageable groups, with the focus on understanding the brain under stress and its affect on performance AND the movement based solutions.
A class series just for the drama students or only for dance students.
An after school workshop that is for interested students only who would like to elevate exam prep.
