In Studio Preparation Strategies

Are you adding the 3 types of practices of the dance to ensure stage success?  Are you building confidence instead of perfectionism? What would a last class ideally look like?

What do students need to know about a theatre in advance in order to Pre-Orient themselves, so that they adjust quickly without stress?

Dressing Room Activities

Preparing fully, beyond "warming up" in the dressing rooms and hallways before heading backstage can be the make or break time for many dancers performance.  

Are the students given the skills to know how to "get into the zone" needed for a connected performance before going backstage.

Backstage Movements

Drawing from "The Diamond Method-Shine Under Pressure" a few key movements to do backstage to keep dancers calm and focused will be shared.

Mariah-Jane, the Artistic Director of The Radiant Dance Teacher, is also the creator of The Diamond Method, a unique method designed specifically for dancers, utilizing brain science and somatics to enhance brain integration and mitigate the effects of stress on performance.
