Course Descriptions for Integration

Integrated
Pulling the pieces together to create the whole is what integration is all about. That can mean integrating the mind-body and also the various parts of the brain.

Embodied
Embodied is referring to the ability to have a nuanced and ongoing dialogue with your body, with the ability to notice and engage in ideal anatomical function.

Expressive
Who we are is revealed all the time by our use of weight, space, time and flow. Expanding your range allows you to fully inhabit all aspects of you.
Courses to Support YOU to become Integrated
The Brain Dance
The Brain Dance explores the developmental movement patterns that humans move through in the first year of life to "wire up" their central nervous system, with the addition of vestibular and tactile stimulation.
The Brain Dance is a great way of having fun at any age ‘dancing’ through the developmental stages in as little as five minutes and has a quick and easy to follow structure.
The Brain Dance for various populations will be experienced: sitting on the floor (preschool and children), standing (all ages), and sitting in chairs (for seniors and special needs).

The Diamond Method: Shine Under Pressure
There are unique pressures to performing or presenting on a stage, regardless of the size of the audience. This can be for public speaking or performing art of music, dance and theatre. Sport competitions also have similar pressure of performing under pressure and in the public eye, with not just your team counting on you, but often multitudes of fans.
The pressures are known and are NOT going away. Each performance truly is a one time event and the show much go on, with no do-overs. While experience can help with managing skill, often the stress is simply embedded into the system, draining the energy and skills needed for optimal performance.
The many tools and processes of Brain Gym are perfectly designed to prepare you for these unique situations. Learn how to use specific movements to wire yourself to enjoy the pressure of these performances.

Learning Outcomes
- How your brain affects your brain is specific to your unique brain profile. Learn this and also learn how to mitigate these affects.
- Prepare yourself to rise to your best even with the pressure of the performance.
- Go beyond managing stress, to actually using the pressure of the stress to help you shine, like a diamond that it is made under pressure.
Injury Release Method
When an injury occurs in the body, especially an acute injury, the soft tissues of muscles, ligaments and tendons do heal, although often not completely. However, without proper care, the nervous system remembers. This prevents not just complete healing of the tissues due to a protective bubble around the injury site, but an overall body tightening.
The shock of a sudden and intense pain, causes a response of the nervous system. Through a series of processes, this stress response can be resolved. The result is a return of sensation, proprioception, function and flexibility not just around the injury but throughout the whole body.
These sessions require a facilitator if done online.
Up to 5 different injury sites can be resolved in one session.
Session Results
- Increased flexibility throughout the body, especially the hips and shoulders
- Restored proprioception and sensitivity
- Ability to have lines of connectivity and kinetic chains flow unblocked returning full function the injured sit.

For about three years, I have struggled with severe pain in my right ankle. After Mariah-Jane worked with me in a single session of the Injury Release Method, I no longer have any pain. I have been able to dance for several hours a day and just returned from a 22-mile hiking trip….still no pain! Additionally, this bodywork has improved my hip flexibility. Prior to her work, I could only hold my leg at hip height; now, I can développé up to my shoulder! Mariah-Jane is fantastic to work with, she is a great listener, highly knowledgeable, and made me feel safe as we worked together.
